June

Yesterday I was clarity,
Today I am haze,
Circumventing the ambiguity
Of this convoluted maze.

Momentarily I’ll find reprieve,
Breaths lost and moments passed,
Getting back to what I need
Never came so fast.

New eyes cleanse old thoughts
And vanquish reused fears.
What waits for me expectantly
Makes this mind shift gears.

Impatiently awaiting me
Is the acquittal of my mind
For ambivalence beguiles
The thoughts I left behind.
