Threads

If I could take every fiber of you

Only to unravel it,

I would.

So that I could meticulously study

Every thread of your being

And the wondrous ways

In which you are stitched together.

And I would find every frayed piece,

Every broken strand,

So that only I could replace them

With a few spare threads

Of my own.
